There are a number of resources online where you can purchase homeschool supplies. You will find a listing below of some of them.
- Homeschool Student ID’s and Parent Teacher ID’s – You can purchase a photo homeschool student ID from HSLDA at https://store.hslda.org/photo-id—basic-student-p726.aspx. You will need to join HSLDA in order to purchase one. This requirement is for security reasons, to minimize the risk of individuals purchasing homeschooling ID’s that are not actually homeschooling students.
- Homeschooling Curriculums – A good place to start is at Christian Book Distributors. They carry a wide variety of products from various homeschool curriculum publishers, in addition to may resources you could use for electives. You can also purchase items directly from the publishers. For more information about that, please visit our pages for Book Packs, DVD/Online, and Academies under “Curriculums” in the menu.
- Add-On Resources to Supplement Curriculums – Many curriculum publishers offer add-on items, such as flash cards or posters, that go with the curriculum. So, check with them first because those items will be designed to fit in with the curriculum. But if they don’t have what you need, or you want other other add-ons, check with the following:
- Diplomas and Graduation Items – These can also be purchased at HSLDA at https://store.hslda.org/diplomas-c304.aspx.
Michael's craft store discount
Michael’s Craft Store offers a discount of 15% off everything for teachers, and they also consider homeschooling parents to be teachers.
To obtain the discount, you need to bring your homeschooling parent ID and present it to the cashier at checkout. Some umbrellas give their homeschooling parents ID’s, but if you do not have one of those, you can obtain one from HSLDA.
